Dätwyler acquires CTsystems

Dätwyler acquires CTsystems, a spin-off from Empa. CTsystems' patents for electroactive polymers are thus transferred to Dätwyler. They enable completely new applications, for example in the car of the future.

For the first time, Dätwyler can produce stackable electroactive polymers on an industrial scale. This is made possible by the acquisition of CTsystems, based in the Greater Zurich Area. The spin-off from the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research holds patents for electroactive polymers. These will be transferred to the internationally active industrial group from Uri with the acquisition. The two companies have been working closely together since 2018.
